Garioch Livestock Show

At the Competition for Premiums given by the Garioch Farmer Club, which took place at Old Rain, on the 8th current, there was an excellent show of Cattle and Horses.

The Premiums were adjudged as follows, viz:-

Landed proprietors being precluded by the regulations of the Club, from receiving Premiums; the premiums for the Cows, fell to be paid to Mr Marr, Mr Leslie, and Mr Walker; and those for the Fillies, to Mr Arthur Clark, Mr Booth, and Mr George Rae.

As a proof the excellence of the Cattle exhibited, the Bull (2 years old) which claimed the 2d Premium, was sold for Twenty Pounds sterling, after the show.

Upwards of forty gentlemen, proprietors, and farmers, dined at Pitmachie Inn: General Hay in the chair: and the afternoon was spent with all that harmony and hilarity, which has ever characterised the meetings of the club.
